Boys will be boys

Sometimes I wonder what runs through a boys head especially when I see them (all 3 of them) doing odd and strange things. This week Gabriel has come under the radar of strange things that boys do.... He found Allens helmet for the bike and after crying because it was stuck on his head he still wanted me to put it on for him.... silly. Then as if the helmet incident wasnt funny enough but he decided that the boots would be a good idea to try on too! He was clunking around the house almost breaking his leg twisting it around the wrong way to stand up. Hmm I really will never understand what the heck they are thinking, But here are some ictures of the little monkey getting up to mischief.

A for the other little monkey AKA Niamh shes been really upsetting Gabriel by climbing into his bed at every chance she gets. He keeps saying "no Niamh, my bed". Its funny to watch hehehe

Cute kids

Since my last post was so full of pictures I had to post this one of the little kids, you can see how chubby Niamh is now with her little bhuda tummy :o) Then there is Gabriel being goofy because he can see himself on the camera screen. I also added some belated photos of Niamh dressed up for Halloween. I made the costume myself she was a pea pod. I decided the night before that Id make it so it was very dodgy but she did look cute, and she was nice and warm :o)

Garden pictures

These are the blackwood tree's and the wattle in the front yard there are a few more but I couldnt get them all in the one shot.

Niamhs Weight

I finally got a chance to take Niamh to the Health centre to be weighed again its going to be a regular thing for a while still due to all the weight she lost early on. Just for the record she weighed 20pounds or 9.18 kilos. Shes right on the average line for weight and height so Im a happy mum :o)
I also had some great news my next door neighbour also a great friend Simone had her 4th child today just before lunch time, a boy (yet to be named) birth weight 8pd 14ounces. Im going to wait if I can to see her when she gets home (she is only next door). I plan on getting a meal done for the family as well as getting all her washing off the line. Her hubby Simon looked really tired when I spoke to him he was getting everyone to bed early tonight.
Allen and I also put the bird netting over my seedlings and raspberry canes yesterday and still found that we were short on the amount we needed...... Its on the list to get some more before the birds eat them all.
I also got the recipie for my grandfathers Christmas cake from mum I made it last year and its very nice :o) I worked out that with the amount of fruit and brandy and eggs that are in the cake its quite expensive to make but its sooooo worth it! I'll be busy doing that next week yumm!

who's kids are these anyway???

Ive been more than a little annoyed with Allens ex wife and her new husband this past year. They have gone out of their way to make sure Allen can't speak to him kids. They have a series of systems of ringing and hanging up and calling back so that we never know when we can call. He has stayed up till the early hours of the morning trying to get hold of them with no success. It's very frustrating for me as I see what ALlen looks like when he can't speak to them, and how he worries when weeks and weeks go by with no word from them. We have tried emails with no success as Catlyn's email address is monitored and Allens emails get deleated before she sees them.
What makes it even WORSE is when Allens parents contribute to this absence. They have the children at different times when it suits them and this weekend was one of those times, yet Allen didnt get to speak to them at all because Sally (his mother) decided that she does not want to have any further contact with us or the little kids. It annoys me that they think that they are more important than their father!!!! SO tell me who's kids are they anyway?

V for Victory

Its been a history making day with the election in the US of its first black pressident. Ive been glued to the tele most of the afternoon watching the numbers tick over and watching the Obama victory get closer and closer. Allne went to have a lie down after a headache got the better of him, I sent Niamh to bed and sat Gabriel in front of a movie so I could watch in peace. I watched as McCain conceaded defeat and then waited with all the others for The new pressidents first speach.

Allen woke just in time to watch it too, we were both impressed with what he said and cant wait to see what he does now. Its the dawn of a new age, the change has finally come and I believe that he will do a good job.
